Climate
Manosque is situated in the sunniest part of France. And yet the hot
summer climate often is mitigated by a slight breeze, which prevents the
air from being sultry.
To our experience the sun often shines brightly also in winter, but then
the nights can be quite cold.
May and June, and also September and October, often are very agreeable;
July and August can be quite hot.
Nature
In summertime nature is dry, but there is more rainfall in spring and
autumn, nature is somewhat greener at that time. There are many birds, especially
sparrows and doves (strangely enough no blackbirds). The golden oriole
and owls are heard, and the nightingale from early May to mid June. Wild
boars and deer still live in nature.
